Mixing Ratios (Dipping Method)

When treating hair using the dipping method,
the standard mixing ratio is:

Water : JK-HairCoat JK7882-SEV = 1,000 : 3

With 1,003 ml of prepared solution
(1,000 ml water + 3 ml JK7882-SEV),
you can treat approximately:

  • 1,000 g of hairpieces, or

  • 9–10 wefts, each weighing about 100 g
    (approximately 1/4 pound per weft).

Technical Note

A higher concentration (1% solution) may be required for very small quantities of hair (e.g., one wig or topper), particularly when using a limited total volume of solution or a spraying method, which may result in material loss due to airborne dispersion and insufficient total active quantity may reduce treatment effectiveness.

Even when the mixing ratio (percentage concentration) appears similar, the absolute amount of active ions available for bonding can be significantly different depending on the total volume of solution used.

For example, a standard mix of 1000 ml water with 3 ml of JK-HairCoat yields approximately a 0.3% solution, providing a sufficient total number of cationic molecules (e.g., assumed 3 million units).

However, if the same ratio is scaled down — such as 300 ml water with 1 ml of JK-HairCoat (≈0.33%) — the concentration remains nearly identical, but the total number of available cationic molecules is reduced proportionally (e.g., to 1 million units).

In practical applications, such as treating a wig or hair extension containing approximately 80–100 grams of human hair, a minimum total quantity of active ions is required (e.g., 1.1 million units) to achieve sufficient ionic bonding and full coating.

Therefore, even if the percentage concentration is maintained, using too small a total volume may result in insufficient absolute quantity of active material, leading to incomplete treatment.

For this reason, when working with very small amounts of solution (e.g., minimal water usage or spraying methods), a higher concentration (e.g., 1% solution) may be necessary to compensate for the reduced total number of active ions.

Practical Capacity Example

When preparing a 0.3% solution,
200 ml (or 200 g) of JK7882-SEV can treat approximately
66.6 kg of hair or hairpieces using the dipping method in large-scale processing.

Video 1: Demonstration using a 100-liter container used in:

  • Submerging 10 kg of hairpieces in a solution made with
    60 ml of JK7882-SEV + 30 liters of water

  • Or submerging 20 kg of hairpieces using
    50–80 liters of water + 100 ml of JK7882-SEV

Q & A
Question-1 : With 200 ml of JK-HairCoat, how many kilograms of hair can be treated or processed?

Answer-1 : 66.6 Kgs

With 200 grams (200 ml) of JK-HairCoat,
approximately 66.6 kg of human hair can be treated using the dipping method.

With 1 kg of JK-HairCoat (JK7882-SEV),
approximately 333 kg of human hair can be treated by dipping.

Q & A
Question-2 : When treating 10 kg of hair, how much JK-HairCoat is required?

Answer-2 : 30 gr (or 30 ml) of a HairCoat is needed.

Up to 10 kg (10,000 grams) of human hair can be treated with
30 g (30 ml) of JK-HairCoat using a 0.3% solution via the dipping method.
